Good evening. I set my thermostat to a lower temperature on the sleep setting today and when I checked it later, there is no display on the screen. It does not have the low battery symbol, which I thought may be the issue. However, our downstairs thermostat is at the same battery level and still functioning. When I press and hold any button, the screen lights up, but there is no additional information displayed. Could this be a battery problem or could I have accidentally pressed the wrong button when setting the sleep temperature earlier today?

Hi, How do I lower the room temperature? It keeps increasing even when I try to adjust it downwards. For some reason, it is set by default to 22-23 degrees, which makes the entire flat warm. Previously, it was set to 18 degrees, which was just right. Please assist as it is causing my heating bills to rise every month.

I have purchased a TPOne M to replace my TP9000si-ma. I cannot get the new unit to work with the heating. Hot water is ok but although the display shows it is calling for heat the boiler never fires up when room temperature drops below the thermostat temperature. My wiring for old TP9000 is attached and I thought it would a simple matter to connect Live & Neutral with the old no3 terminal (grey wire ) being wired to NO2 on TPOne and old no4 terminal (black wire) being wired to NO1 on TPOne. Can you advise?

The COM wire being connected to normally closed 2 (NC2) on the Danfoss TPOne-M thermostat is normal. This wiring setup allows for the control of different heating channels. The COM wire is commonly used as a common connection for multiple switches or relays.

Hi, Hope you are well. My thermostat downstairs (TPone-M) shows a blank screen and nothing comes up no matter which button I press. I took it off and checked that it doesn’t need any battery. I have got no power cut and my thermostat upstairs works fine. May you advise me how to rectify it please? Thank you.

Help! My TPOne-M bedroom thermostat is only showing what looks like a low battery symbol. There is nothing in the instructions about replacing batteries.

@Elizabeth Milbourn .I have now replaced the 2 AA batteries in the thermostat. I looked on Youtube videos and found out how to replace them.

Post answer Mary Saull21 January 2022

The screen has gone blank except for what looks like a low battery icon and the heating in the rooms it affects is not on. What has happened and what can I do about it?

The box has its own battery that you have to replace too. You have to unclip the front panel (underneath) and replace the battery. I had the same thing happen for me.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can't find the answer to your question in the manual? You may find the answer to your question in the FAQs about the Danfoss TPOne-M below.

Where is the best location to place the thermostat?

The best place for the thermostat is the room where you spend the most time, in many cases the living room or kitchen. Place the thermostat about one and a half metres above the floor, not in the sun and not on an outside wall.

What is the dead band of a thermostat?

If your thermostat has a dead band, your installation is, as it were, 'at rest'. The thermostat only switches on when, for example, the difference deviates more than 2˚C from the set room temperature.
